Walks in the surroundings
Šuňava is a village situated away from the main roads and highways and so it was possible to retain a piece of virgin nature. Enjoy walking on fresh air (Penzion U orla is located in 900 m above the sea altitude offering all beneficial effects of very good climate). Forests surrounding Penzion U orla offer endless possibilities for walks and thanks rich mushroom harvest are attractive for passionate mushroom-pickers.

- short walks in the village with highest altitude, Štrbské Pleso
- less demanding hike to Popradské pleso and symbolic cemetery
- more demanding hike leading through nice hiking ways to Studený potok Waterfalls (Cold creek waterfalls)
- Lomniský štít (Lomnický peak) – taking a classical hiking way through Skalnaté pleso (moderate degree of hike difficulty), or through ferrata from Lomnické sedlo (demanding level of hike difficulty). Or a more comfortable way – taking a cable car ride straight to the peak.
